The generous herbalist's year

Are you tempted to put on seven-mile boots that will take you to places where herbs smell, trees are green and a stream full of fish is bubbling? Know that such places are everywhere on earth. They are often inconspicuous, hidden, even when they are nearby. There is a flowering of motherwort and the smell of the scent of the honeysuckle, mint and purple foxglove. And at every time of the year such a place changes. In spring, it buzzes and bursts with colour, only to give way to a deliberate summer ripening, a colourful autumn and a peaceful winter.

This book will take you to just such meadows, to quiet groves, to the foothills of the mountains. You will go quietly and collect all those gifts of natural apathy which are the wisdom, the basis of medicine. You will learn how to prepare effective tinctures for coughs, sleep, pain or grief. You will cook delicious syrups and dozens of very tasty dishes that will nourish you from head to toe. And when you want to lie down in the grass, you can read stories about ancient customs, traditions and holidays that are our roots, the lifeblood of our lives.

One bountiful herbalist's year, filled with scents from beginning to end. So get your basket ready, your good sturdy shoes and your heart full of enthusiasm because we're going out.
