Historical novel The Case of the Czech Prince from the series Crimes in Great Moravia
The year is 883. A large envoy from Bohemia, led by Prince Bořivoj and his wife Ludmila, arrives in Moravia. Bořivoj came to ask Svatopluk to take Bohemia into protection against the Franks. At the same time, in Velihrad, where Svatopluk accepted Bohemia, Bořivoj and Ludmila are to receive baptism at the hands of Methodius, thus confirming the alliance between Moravians and Bohemians. However, not everyone likes these activities of Bořivoj. The next day, while hunting, Bořivoj escapes a murderous attempt by a hair's breadth.
