The Call of the Snake

Filip Skácel, a private detective and loving brother, unexpectedly loses his sixteen-year-old stepsister. While clearing out Tereza's room, however, he discovers that something about her death doesn't add up – and that perhaps he didn't know her at all. Filip finds himself in a world of drugs, and the deeper he sinks into the murky waters of the Olomouc underworld, the bigger the case becomes. What's more, another unknown enters the equation: a mysterious woman who might be following the same trail and whose methods are controversial, to say the least. Who is Zoe? Why are there no records of her? And how is she connected to Filip's sister? The clues are desperately scarce and nothing makes sense, but despite the growing danger, Filip discovers one fundamental thing: everything is completely different from what he could ever have imagined.
