The Bright King

5 December 2025, Czech Republic

For eleven long years dragons have been circling over the Czech countryside, harpies have been building nests in the forests, hydras, griffins and basilisks have been hunting in the streets, and magical blessings and curses have been controlling people's lives.

From the Red Tower, the state is ruled with a firm hand by Jan Rener, a young and progressive mage who has withstood international warfare and protected the country from the Millennium Demon himself. It seems that all the dangers are finally over and the Czech Republic has a deservedly bright future as a world power. And yet, all it takes is a small mistake and suddenly someone else, much stronger, more experienced and more ruthless than Jan Rener ever was, is laying claim to the only source of magic in the world.

Here comes the ancient mage...

…and at his heels walks an even more formidable foe.
