Terezín Ghetto
For the second time in a row, an atlas takes Bára back in time in the middle of the night. This time she found herself in a completely deserted city. Not a soul on the streets, no windows lit, no cars running. Hidden behind the trees in the park, she watches in horror as some men transport human corpses in a cart! Bára is convinced that all the people here hide at night because there are killers on the streets. He'll be scared to death by morning. As soon as dawn breaks, he starts to look for a way out, but finds that the city has walls and the gates are guarded by soldiers. There's no escape. Luckily, she meets Peter, who hides her in the attic of the house where she lives with other boys in what is essentially an orphanage. He and his three friends find food, a blanket for sleeping and other necessities for Bára, and from them Bára gradually learns that she was in the Jewish ghetto during the Second World War.
