Tales from Pilsen

Tales from Pilsen brings you ten stories linked by one thing – the city of Pilsen. Against the backdrop of the Hussite Wars, the Nazi occupation, the Normalisation era and the near future, the fates of characters grappling with power, fear, justice and hope unfold. The author alternates between historical fresco, thriller and dystopia, creating a picture of a city where history is made on every street corner. The book stands out for its raw style and its ability to show that the past and the future are closer than we think.
