The Spejbl and Hurvínek Czech language textbook series
Hurvínek made a lot of mistakes in his dictations, which annoyed Mrs. Kateřina (Bábinka), so Hurvínek, Spejbl and Mánička decided to create a Czech language textbook as a self-education and give it to Bábinka as a birthday present. In the first episode, Babinka was "taught" by all three and given homework. In the next parts, Spejbl expanded the ranks of the pupils, and Hurvínek and Mánička became the peculiar teachers.
The eight-part series Spejbl's and Hurvínek's Textbook of the Czech Language 1993 was Miloš Kirschner's last large-scale radio production(he died in 1996). It was written by Ladislav Dvorský and was intended for the radio series Broadcasting for Schools.
On this CD you will find the first three of the surviving six episodes of the series, which are sure to entertain even today.
At that time, the series was filmed and broadcast irregularly, so it did not have a fixed concept, which sometimes manifested itself in the assignment and control of homework in later episodes. The lessons took place at home, but also in the countryside and even at the train station.
