Spectrum of eating disorders

The book is the result of long-term clinical and research work of the editor, an outstanding Czech expert on eating disorders, and collaborating experts, mainly physicians and psychologists. The aim is to familiarize professionals with the complex issue of eating disorders, clinically proven procedures, treatment standards and other possibilities and pitfalls in everyday practice. It focuses on newly introduced therapeutic approaches and technologies in treatment and prevention, emphasizes the use of new technologies to alleviate societal pressures on thinness and the creation of support programs for patients and their families. The individual chapters map the relationship of eating disorders to the respective specialty (gynaecology, dentistry, neurology. ). The publication is intended for the professional public, psychiatrists, psychologists, obesitologists, pediatricians, gynecologists, to general practitioners, dentists, but also to teachers, sociologists and students of these fields and, last but not least, informed lay public.
