Spartak, Octavia, Felicia

The publication recalls the now legendary Škoda passenger car series of the classic concept produced between 1955 and 1971. Its first member was the Škoda 440, still known today as the Spartak, which was one of the prototypes. The text and numerous illustrations give the reader an insight into the development and gradual transformation of the Škoda 440, 445, 450, Octavia, Octavia Super, Octavia Touring Sport, Octavia Combi, Felicia and Felicia Super, to the last Octavia Combi model of 1971. Mention is also made of the assembly of cars of this series abroad and the local production of almost unknown cars built on modified Octavia Combi chassis, Trekka in New Zealand and Skopak in Pakistan. A separate chapter is devoted to the sporting deployment of Škoda classic concept cars at home and abroad. The book is supplemented by a colour appendix with copies of period brochures, tables of technical data of individual types and an overview of their production.
