Space Barons

Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and the quest to populate space

The Space Barons audiobook is the story of a group of billionaire entrepreneurs who invest their fortunes in an epic resurrection of the American space program. Nearly half a century after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, these space barons - notably Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, along with Richard Branson and Paul Allen - are using Silicon Valley innovation to dramatically reduce the cost of space travel and send humans even further than NASA has managed. These entrepreneurs are the owners of some of the world's biggest companies - Amazon, Microsoft, Tesla and PayPal - and they are gradually changing one industry after another. Now they have decided to change the biggest thing: the universe.
This fact-based audiobook is based on years of journalistic work and exclusive interviews with all four billionaires. It offers a dramatic tale of risk, adventure and the birth of a new space age, with some of the world's richest men behind it, seeking to break the government's monopoly on space. Space Barons is also the story of ambitious and rival start-ups battling established contractors, as well as the personal disputes between the leaders of this new space movement, particularly Musk and Bezos, as they head for the Moon, Mars and beyond.
