Queens are either hated or forgotten. And you are not a woman who intends to disappear into the mists of time.
Born to a king, married to a tyrant. You watch helplessly as he sacrifices your eldest daughter for nothing more than a breath of wind, for the favour of the gods. This is far from the first time he has taken what is dearest to you. Then for many years you watch him wage war on a distant shore, kept alive only by the thought of revenge. You did not deserve this life. You will not be broken. And you begin to plan.
When he returns, you must make a choice. Reconciliation means humiliation; retribution means certain death. You wait and hope that now the gods will help you. For you have long since understood what others have missed: if you are not granted power, you must take it for yourself.
