Social andragogy
The publication deals with social andragogy and its anchoring in the system of applied sciences with social themes. It is not limited to an overview of theoretical knowledge, but focuses on its practical application in the current turbulent social environment.
In addition to the formal and informal influence on the adult individual in the system of school and out-of-school education, it also includes informal learning, which unmistakably influences the socialisation, enculturation and personalisation of the person in all situations and roles that he or she enters in the course of life.
The authors therefore conceptualize the formation of the individual as a combination of fully or partially andragogically initiated and organized action with the functional influence of more or less spontaneous, unorganized influences. Thus, the synergy of direct and indirect formation of a person in simulated and real social conditions is understood and used to develop his explicit and tacit competences and to accelerate his intellectual, emotional and moral-freedom abilities necessary to optimally deal with real life situations.
The comprehensive concept of social andragogy thus provides a unique overview of its theoretical foundations and practical applications in relation to target groups and possible interventions. It allows you to put yourself in the role of a social andragogue, to clarify its competences and practical possibilities. A key role is played by the use of social counselling in situations where an adult does not know what to do for various reasons and needs professional help, for example in relation to family, children, life partner and self.
The book is primarily intended for students of andragogy, adult education, andragogical anthropology and social psychology, but it will also be appreciated by those interested in other social disciplines, counselling and family therapy.
