Social Administration

The textbook is divided into two interrelated parts. The first part introduces readers to the general theory of social administration, outlines the genesis of current models of social systems management, introduces the principles of management in social administration and other key concepts that are necessary to understand the context presented in part two.

It deals with the interpretation of specific ways of organisation and management of individual segments of social administration, such as social security and welfare, health report, administration of the social protection system, support for the unemployed, vulnerable and socially excluded persons and others.

Attention is also paid to the specifics of the administration of emerging systems, such as protection against discrimination or protection of the rights of foreigners. The role of social work as a key helping profession in the functioning of social systems is highlighted.

The publication is a collective work of leading Czech experts in the field.
