The World Cup in China brought unexpected success to Czech basketball. And during the tournament and after it ended, it unleashed an unprecedented basketball mania in our country. The Czech sporting nation discovered new heroes – Tomáš Satoranský and co.

The book Šestí na světě (Sixth in the World) brings the atmosphere of this unexpected campaign to life, mapping the events within the Czech team and behind the scenes of the major tournament. Czech Television reporter Jiří Kalemba, who accompanied the national team, collected a rich array of perceptions, impressions and experiences. He has put them together to complement the immensely powerful sporting story written in China by coach Ronen Ginzburg's squad.
