Silent weeping

When seven-year-old Lucy Ross is abducted from a carousel in Denton city park, Detective Josie Quinn and her team launch into a frantic search. It's Josie herself who finds Lucy's sparkly butterfly backpack, with a devastating message stuffed inside: Answer your phone, or your little girl dies.
The next day, a flicker of hope appears for Lucy's parents, the police force, and the FBI when they answer a call, thinking it's the babysitter—but instead, a chilling male voice is on the line. The police rush to the babysitter's flat, only to find her lifeless body tangled in the bedsheets.
Every new phone call from someone connected to the family ends with the shocking discovery of another body. The twisted killer is clearly out for revenge and won't stop until the Ross family is on its knees.
Josie's intuition tells her that Lucy's parents aren't telling her the whole truth, but something is holding her back from delving deeper into the case. Perhaps it's her own secret? Does Josie have the strength to solve this case? If she wants to bring Lucy home alive, she has no choice.
