Scarecrow Josífek

Joseph is a "normal" spooky boy. He has his own mysterious all-powerful Cuckoo, which helps him overcome many obstacles. Thanks to Josef, the children find themselves in a half-ruined castle, explore the horrible attic in the house of the witch Adi, rescue the fairy Christine, make friends with the eternally repulsive hellraiser Kuba and experience "horrible" adventures that always turn out well. Veronika Kubáčová's light illustrations, based on perfectly executed drawings combined with watercolour, evoke joy, wit and fairy-tale charm and, together with the text suitable for beginning readers, are sure to delight not only first-graders but also their parents and teachers.
