About the Author, Václav Křivanec
Václav Křivanec was born in Sušice and spent his childhood and youth in Beroun. He studied at the Václav Hrabě Grammar School, then at the Faculty of Education in Pilsen and Special Education at the College of European and Regional Studies in České Budějovice. He now lives in Pilsen, where he has been working for many years as a teacher in schools for pupils with behavioural problems. In December 2019, his successful debut novel, Poslední nadechnutí (The Last Breath), was published, which many readers and experts compared to the works of Nordic and American authors. In 2021, his second book, Dál nechoď! (Don't Go Any Further!), was published and received an honourable mention from the jury of the Czech Association of Detective and Adventure Fiction Authors. Both books have also been released in audio versions. He is also involved in music. As a guitarist and composer, he has been a member of many music groups (including Burma Jones, Buster Nixon, CP. 8, Pestalozzi). He is also the author of the successful hit song Samba v kapkách deště (Samba in the Raindrops).
