Rules of conduct for children in kindergarten

The publication conveys to children the basic social rules of functioning in a group. It aims at a real understanding of the content of the concept „ rules“ and why it's important to follow them. It is based on the principle of respecting rules through one's own social experience and linking them to information from everyday life. The inclusion of play and story work also encourages the child's natural curiosity and creativity.

The rules set are simple but clear. They lead children not only to become aware of their own needs and feelings, but also to reflect on the needs and feelings of other people. They are named in relation to their content, i.e. The rule of our eyes, mouths, ears, but also of order and safety. The means to truly understand them is to ask questions and „ bridging“ the content of the rule into other social situations experienced by the child. This is also helped by working with the story and worksheets.

The unique and socially thoughtful illustrations accompanying the publication were created in collaboration with academic painter Martina Fojtů.
