Lodrik's violent death has sparked grief and anger among his subjects. To avenge their beloved sovereign, they take up arms. At the same time, the search for the last Aldoreel blade turns into a race against time. For its magical power could bring about Govan's downfall and seal the springs of evil. But then, rumours emerge that Lodrik is alive. Young Lorin also sets out into the world to confront the hordes of evil alongside mysterious allies. Govan, however, is doing everything in his power to ensure the Age of Darkness reigns over Ulldart for good.
