A Year in the Memory of the Nation

Based on the unique Memory of the Nation collection, this book uses eyewitness accounts and their comparison with historical sources to explore modern history and the nature of the 20th century's non-democratic regimes: Nazism and Communism. Each chapter is linked to a month of the year and is introduced by a calendar of the most important anniversaries. The publication can help you understand significant eras and groundbreaking events, and is also suitable for educational purposes. The true stories of the eyewitnesses are readable and often more compelling than fictional adventures!
