Restless Grave
Audiobook The Restless Grave, by Kateřina Šardická, read by Igor Bareš, directed by Jan Bláha.
WHO SAYS DEATH CAN'T BE CURED?
It is 1887 and Anselm Godwin is studying medicine at the University of Glasgow. When he's not sitting around bloody operating tables with his classmates and watching autopsies, he spends all his time immersed in books. His older brother Ezra was originally supposed to become a doctor, but tragically died a year ago. Anselm fled as far away as he could from his grief and secretly took his brother's place. But now he must return home to the north of the Scottish Highlands and face his demons.
Ada Selwyn works as a gravedigger. During the day, he and his father run a funeral service - a trade for which they are despised throughout the region. At night, she earns money in a way that threatens to get her hanged, and worse - to disappoint her father. However, her illegal activities take a cruel toll and Ada is in danger of losing everything.
When Anselmo and Ada cross paths, they become unlikely allies. Anselm is convinced that he can outwit Death himself and bring the dead Ezra back to life. And Ada is the only one who can help him...
