Quality of business environment, regional competitiveness and regional development strategy Č

The publication deals with the assessment of the regional quality of the business environment, which is an important basis not only for the decision-making of potential investors, but also for the assessment of the development prospects of regions. The assessment is based on 16 factors selected from international and domestic surveys and grouped into business, labour, infrastructure, local, price and environmental factors. Their analyses are prepared in a unified way (meaning, methodology, results and possibilities of influence) by 205 administrative districts of third level municipalities and synthesized for the regions. The subsequent broader assessment of regional competitiveness includes analyses of firms' innovation potential and human resource utilization as additional components of the original integrative theory of regional development.
