Promises of runes

Ivar Thoresson craves adventure. As an archaeologist specialising in the Viking Age, he wants nothing more than to travel back in time to the ninth century. After all, his siblings have already made the same journey! He wants to learn absolutely everything about the era that fascinates him. And although he has always felt accepted by his adoptive parents, the chance to meet his real ancestor, the warrior Thorald, in the past is a temptation he cannot resist.

But while preparing for his journey, he discovers an amulet and has a vision of a mysterious woman with golden-red hair being taken captive. The woman is clearly in distress and begs for help. Convinced of the small talisman's power and the truth of his vision, his journey now takes on a new purpose. He sets off into the past, determined to fulfil his destiny and save the beautiful woman.
