Pergolas and canopies

A pergola is the most common small garden building. It serves as a support for the growth of climbing plants or defines a garden corner for a pleasant sitting with family or friends, or it can be used as a carport. It is most often located in close proximity to the living area of the house. Unroofed partly shades the sun in the summer heat, under the roof you can stay even in rainy showers. The book is divided into three parts. In the first one, the reader learns what type and material is suitable for his/her project, how to ensure the stability of the selected structure and how to solve the walking or walking follow-up areas. The middle part is devoted to examples of individual realizations. In the final part there are some practical suggestions on how to proceed with the planting of the pergola itself and its surroundings with vegetation.
