Paradise field

The hunter becomes the hunted…

When a dead man is found near a remote church in Heavenfield, Detective Chief Inspector Ryan is the only other person for miles around. With no murder weapon, no motive, and no suspects – other than Ryan himself – the police have nowhere else to look.

Already suspended from the Northumbria Police Force, Ryan must fight with everything he has to clear his name. But the stakes soon rise far beyond his career when prominent members of a mysterious "Circle" start dying. Someone clearly wants Ryan to be the next name on the coroner’s list, and if he wants to survive this ordeal, he must unmask the devil walking among them – before it is too late.

Unfortunately for Ryan, the devil looks just like everyone else…
