Otorhinolaryngology
The book presents otorhinolaryngology to students as a structured field of study. The individual chapters then deal with the sub-fields of the specialism and areas shared with other medical specialisations. The chapters are divided into a theoretical part, which summarises knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, followed by a part dealing with examination methods for the relevant area. It then puts the acquired knowledge into the context of the work of an otorhinolaryngologist in clinical practice. The scope of the material is prepared and presented to the extent required for medical students, but its overlap with nursing care also makes the textbook suitable for university studies in non-medical fields. The illustrations emphasise simplicity and schematic representation in keeping with the book's educational nature.
