Murie

Eighteen-year-old suicidal Formánek starts his compulsory military service convinced he won't survive the first battle. During training, he discovers that Rusland is not at war with rebels or another state, but with inhuman monsters. No one properly explains the reason for the conflict to the soldiers, and communication with the enemy is impossible. In short, the perfect opportunity to finally die. But then Formánek meets Madam, and suddenly he has something—or rather someone—to live for.
Just as things start to look up for him, he becomes infected by Murie, one of the most dangerous monsters, and the wheel of futility and despair starts to turn.
“Just dying” would be getting off easy.
