Murder in the hospital

The violent death of the chief of paediatric surgery brings Captain Petr Brandl's team to a large Prague hospital. At the outset of the investigation, it appears that the motive for the murder is the settlement of family or work disputes, which are more or less common nowadays and are often resolved under sections of the criminal law. However, further murders and, ultimately, an unusual murder weapon - a small-calibre sporting pistol from the 1950s - gradually point the detectives to a more distant past...
