Modern biological data analysis

This publication follows on from the first volume of Modern Analysis of Biological Data and presents selected models and methods for the statistical analysis of correlated data. These are linear methods that are a suitable tool for analysing data with temporal, spatial and phylogenetic dependencies. The text is a practical guide to data analysis within the environment of one of the most comprehensive statistical tools in the world, the freely available R software. It consists of 19 solved and commented examples, which have been selected to demonstrate the correct construction of the model and to highlight problems and errors that may occur during data analysis. The text is written in simple language that is understandable to readers without special mathematical training. The book is primarily intended for students and researchers in biological, agricultural, veterinary, medical and pharmaceutical fields who need to correctly analyse the results of their observations or experiments with a more complicated structure given by the dependencies between repeated measurements of the same subjects.
