Miroslav Macek's self-complaints
Miroslav Macek likes to call himself a snob. There aren't many such educated and entertaining snobs. And certainly not those who can tell a story. Miroslav Macek narrates with gusto, wise and witty, in charming poetic Czech about his childhood, parents, grandparents, studies, of their loves, wives and children and of course good food and drink, as only a gourmet can.
Miroslav Macek presents his book as follows: "Dear and dear, there's finally a book in the world, in which I talk about all sorts of interesting things, that have befallen me along the way from birth (almost) to death, and that would give you, I hope, could provide both entertainment, a little bit of a lesson. The book also contains excerpts from my years of newspaper and magazine work, a selection of translations of poetry and prose, and something from my own literary drawer."
