Medical Latin

This lexicon presents the remarkable heritage of Latin learning encapsulated in almost 7,000 maxims, sayings, adages, and expressions, primarily from the fields of medicine and related disciplines (natural sciences, philosophy, psychology, ethics, sociology, pedagogy, law, etc.). They are captured in their original form with parallel Czech translations. The lexicon is the result of the collaborative work of a team of authors, who are experienced experts with many years of practice at medical faculties and recognised translation work. It is unique in its selection of sources, its original translations, and its poetic renditions of verses.
