Long-term care medicine

The first comprehensive monograph in our country, concerning a topic that is constantly at the forefront of the medical community. The book is intended primarily for general practitioners, nursing staff in residential facilities, and public health officials.

The publication pursues two main goals, namely to contribute in the Czech environment to the definition and understanding of the agenda, significance and application of the still little-known concept of long-term care as the 3rd pillar " care areas" and secondly, to draw attention to selected clinical and ethical aspects of healthcare, primarily medical, but also nursing and rehabilitation practice within long-term care, for its clients/patients, including practice in residential facilities.
