K. V. Rais.

This radio adaptation of a short story from the late 19th century tells with a slight exaggeration the problem of a young newlywed in a small Czech town. A short story by a classic of Czech literature (known from the collection of two prose stories "The Half-Pagans"), in which the author uses the story of a young husband and wife to explore the flaws and ridiculousness of small-town Czechoslovakia. Rais's most apt satirical view of small-town society and especially of the life of its better classes. Starring: Jaromír Spal, Antonín Molčík, Nelly Gaierová, Libuše Havelková, Jan Teplý and others. Directed by: Josef Melč
