Jesus and other swear words
What remains stable in an uncertain, post-factual world where even Jesus has become a swear word?
This ironic, sentimental, and occasionally poetic conversation offers a three-part answer: biblical faith, enlightenment reason, and humanistic laughter. With these tools, literary historian and preacher Martin C. Putna examines the world he moves in. Spiritual matters, where he lectures and preaches with his legendary erudition on Christianity and Marian devotion, mysticism and the Reformation, Judaism and paganism. Public affairs, where he comments on the crisis of the left, the right, and the centre, as well as the fads and ideologies of the academic environment. Inner thoughts, where he talks about his laughter and his own ridiculousness, but also about coping with fear, hatred, and illness.
His conversation partners are Martina Josefina and David A. Plass, who met, along with Martin C. Putna, at the Faculty of Humanities.
