I've been nowhere much
Lots of little losses, lots of little wins. And the game is still on.
In his autobiography, Michael Třeštík talks about times past and recent. Whether his ambitions were constrained by the political situation or the pandemic, he always had a need to prove something (not only) to himself. In this intricate look into his private life, he describes his childhood, his boyhood dreams and all his loves, including his wife Helena. Even this time he does not lack witty insight, with which he describes his life escapades, successes and not so pleasant experiences.
Even though he was an architect, Michael Třeštík has always had the ambition to realize himself as an artist. Through pictures of naked women his creative path led to pastels and he even tried his hand at ceramics. A significant part of the book is his efforts to write a novel. The walls of yours finally came out for him in 1988 and opened the way to post-revolutionary Czech society. But life isn't just about lucrative offers and invitations to receptions. Life is also about rejections. Michael Třeštík knows this and records life in all its diversity.
