Linnea is sixteen and her best friend has suddenly stopped talking to her. Hanne is trying to get rid of traumatic childhood memories of being bullied at school for being overweight, even though now, at fifty, she has finally managed to lose weight and find a serious relationship.
When the whole family now gathers for a celebration in the small town where they all come from, secrets both past and present come to the surface. Can they talk about old grievances and move on, or will everyone return home from the celebration just as they were before?
