MICHELE CAMPBELL After studying law at Harvard and Stanford, Michele Campbell worked as a federal prosecutor in New York City, where she specialised in international organised crime and gang cases. After some time, she decided to end her successful career in the world metropolis and moved with her husband and two children to an idyllic university town in New England, which is quite similar to Belle River from her novel It's Always the Husband. She currently teaches criminal and constitutional law and writes books. She has four to her name so far: It's Always the Husband, A Stranger on the Beach, She Was the Quiet One, and The Woman Who Knew Too Much, with which she has won the hearts of readers on both sides of the Atlantic. She has many good friends, a few enemies, and only one husband, who, as far as she knows, has never tried to take her life. EVA NOVOTNÁ She graduated from the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) with a degree in drama acting. In 2001, she joined the Mahen Theatre, where she worked until 2011. Between 2011 and 2013, she alternated between being a freelancer and a member of the HaDivadlo theatre in Brno. In 2013, she returned to the National Theatre Brno. She has a long-standing career in voice-over work and radio. You may have seen her on television in the series Gympl or Velmi křehké vztahy.
