In the gloom and shadows

After leaving the ancient vampire castle with Magiera and Leesil, the scholar Wynn heads back to the Guild of the Learned, safeguarding several texts from the time of the Great War, possibly written by the vampires themselves. However, the guild confiscates these texts, along with the journals she kept throughout her journey, for examination. Wynn herself faces distrust and ridicule. No one believes the documents are genuine, and her experiences are dismissed as fantasy. But then, several pages vanish from the documents, and two of the scholars are murdered. Wynn is convinced that the Noble Dead are behind the killings and tries to uncover the secrets of the ancient texts on her own. She has no idea, however, of the danger she is about to face…
