Ilja Kučera: Murder in Shantan

In 1978, radio listeners had the opportunity to be entertained by the small conversational comedy Murder in Shantán. The authors subtitled it a mini-crime and it takes place in Prague during the First Republic. The director of the Boulevard Shantytown is startled by sudden news: Anonymous threatens to murder the first star of Shantanu during tonight's production. Naturally, an argument breaks out between the artists about who is in the greatest danger. Both the director and his secret lover, the singer Lili, as well as a conversational comedian, a magician or a quartet of girls, claim the right to be the main star. Together they seek rescue from the legendary criminalist Mr. Vacátek. Performers: Laďka Kozderková, Svatopluk Benes, Jaroslav Štercl, Josef Hlinomaz, Josef Velda, Artur Šviha, Frantisek Hanus, Milan Mach, Aloisie Šebková, Olga Masha, Jan Waldann, Miloš Zavřel.
