I, Gowther

The second half of the twenty-third century, two hundred years after the Apocalypse. After a long period of chaos, cannibalism and local wars, the Century of Peace has begun and lasted for five years now.
A trio of heroes sets off to different corners of a ravaged Europe: the cyborg soldier Oggerd, the technologist Hal Hargo, and the negotiator Gowery Fink. Their task is to investigate the so-called “shards of the Apocalypse”—technological remnants of the old world. Sometimes they get caught up in the games of powerful interest groups, and at other times they must atone for their own transgressions.
These are three of their stories: “Law of the Pack”, “The Rhine Sieve”, and “Cat Flap”.
