I appreciate the work of all the sign-makers

I Appreciate the Work of All Trail Markers is not a typical travelogue, but rather a collection of micro-stories and observations from the places the author visited on his travels. It is not a book about great deeds, but about the small steps that quietly make up our path. It is not an adventure story full of twists and turns, but a wanderer's diary, who sets off on a journey without haste or a clear destination. Fleeting, often insignificant and mundane things—a smoky room in a hut high in the mountains, tufts of cotton rolling by the roadside, the taste of overly sweet tea at a morning market—were not just points on a map for the author, but moments that left an indelible mark on him. The journey through the Balkans, Turkey and Georgia is not one of great personal transformation, but rather the realisation that sometimes it is enough to just keep walking.
