Self-defence against stupidity, anger and manipulation
The joking title hides a fresh recording on a serious topic: How to survive in an increasingly demanding and often increasingly shameless interpersonal communication; mainly in work, business, career building, but also in personal life. The book is updated with the latest research and experience from courses, trainings, talks and feedback from the author.
Thanks to its title, the recording is certainly suitable as a joke gift for a colleague (e.g. "to a boss or a colleague for his birthday - and he doesn't even know who exactly gave it to him"), but also for direct study and regular listening by the person who gets it.
David Gruber here for the first time embarks on a "brief cookbook", i.e. without any theorizing, lists typical problem situations (slander; the boss "doesn't want to hear anything"; the handler at the meeting; slander by means of half-truths, etc. ) and then a specific communication defence, an appropriate response.
