Home made of gold

High school student Mao lives with her grandmother, Chie, who practices the traditional Japanese technique of kincugi - the art of repairing broken vessels with gold so that old cracks become ornamental.
Mao must soon decide which direction to take, but for now, uncertainty grips her. When one day she discovers a lacquered hairpin in her grandmother's drawer, it triggers a wave of memories that takes them both on a journey into the past. Old wrongs, unspoken secrets and words that cannot be taken back have broken people's hearts.
And yet, just like repairing broken crockery with gold, beauty and hope can arise again from broken souls.
