Holy

The life of the widowed innkeeper Aloysia is turned upside down when the Virgin Mary appears to her daughter Krista in the forest. Although no one has seen it except Krista, news of the apparition quickly spreads, crowds begin to flock to the forgotten region and the debt-ridden inn finally prospers. Christ is equally adored and hated by those around her. Aloisie herself does not know which side to take. Is her daughter a liar or a visionary? And is the Mother of God really appearing in the forest, or something much more terrifying? The story of love, faith and endless will is based on real events that took place in the nineteenth century in the Broumov region.
