HIV/AIDS in Surgery

The book provides an up-to-date overview of AIDS from the perspective of an infectious disease specialist, with the main focus on surgical issues. It is based on the material of 6000 African patients, 3200 of whom were operated on by the first author. The African results are compared with the possibilities in the Czech Republic, the emphasis is on the problem of surgeon's injury in the operating room. The publication also includes case reports with pictorial documentation.
