Henryk Sienkiewicz: The Flood

The magnificent novel by the Polish Nobel Prize-winning writer is the middle, completely independent part of Sienkiewicz's famous historical trilogy. The Flood is set in the early second half of the seventeenth century, during the Polish-Swedish War? The uniquely captured image of this turbulent time is projected before us as if on a wide canvas: thrilling plots, colourful and believable fights and battles, and life at the noble courts. However, the private fates of the main characters clearly come to the fore, full of sudden twists and turns, wandering, doubts, but also sincere hopes, of bravery and great love.
