Heaven full of dragons

The first casualty of any war is the truth. Aeschylus

There were times and days when we didn't want to be anywhere else in the world. At the same time, at the same moment, we felt we needed to go home.
Czech pharmacist Stanislav Havlicek, on a mission with Doctors Without Borders in 2024, saw the lives of civilians in Gaza dying from drone strikes, from ordinary diseases and malnutrition, yet children sometimes fly kites made of plastic... If it were not for the war in Gaza, this book would not have been written. Czech pharmacist Stanislav Havlicek would not go on a mission with Doctors Without Borders, he would not see the lives of civilians in Gaza dying after drone attacks, from ordinary diseases and malnutrition, but still children sometimes fly kites made of plastic and the sun sets over Gaza every evening into the sea... and he would not think of writing about it all. The raw testimony of a man who spent several months in one of the most unhappy places on the planet. For anyone who wants to know about how the war is affecting ordinary Palestinians. After listening to it, you will be sad, angry, desperate... but maybe even grateful for your everyday life full of ordinary little worries. With this audiobook, the author returns to two "war" missions in the Middle East, to the West Bank in 2021 and to the Gaza Strip in February and March 2024.
