He can't hear Eliska
Eliška is a young woman who has every reason to be happy – she's married, well-off, and has a beautiful daughter. But her marriage to Pavel is falling into a routine, and a young teacher named Matěj, her old flame, suddenly reappears in her life. Eliška finds herself balancing motherhood, a crumbling relationship, and a romantic feeling that has endured despite the passage of time and the fundamental changes that usually consign youthful romances to the dustbin of memory. Why is the boy who always called her 'Něha' (Tenderness) so irresistible – even though he lacks Pavel's manly exterior, has a toe poking out of his shoe, doesn't drive a car, and the interior of his late grandmother's cottage looks more like a decades-old set from the TV series 'Vyprávěj' (Tell a Story) than a real home? A story about how easy it is not to know who we really are – and how difficult it is to hear someone call us by a name that no longer feels like our own.
