Happiness smells like bread

Does love need a holiday? According to Mila, it does. For weeks, she'd been in love with Theo, and he’d been giving her hope. But then she found out he was engaged! When the hotel where she worked also shut down, she decided it was time to disappear. An offer to house-sit in Scotland came at just the right moment, and so Mila found herself all alone in a small, sleepy village. Her romantic notions quickly began to crumble – no one would say a word to her, the weather was unpredictable, and what's more, there was no decent bread to be found for miles around.
She couldn't let that stand! Having grown up in her father's bakery, Mila knew just what to do and got straight to baking. Such a wonderful aroma wafted from the windows of the house that it overcame the locals' resistance to a foreigner. Mila began to trade bread for marmalade, a warm scarf, a meal at the pub, or apples from the garden. And when the owner's handsome son, Finley, appeared at the house, she fell for Scotland's charms completely.
