Róza is the head of a lifestyle magazine for women and as a journalist she is used to dealing with all kinds of situations. But she wasn't prepared for her husband to find a mistress (a lousy infidel). Or the fact that he's going to lose his job ("we're rejuvenating!"). And so he moves from the luxurious flat they share (his wife and mistress simply won't fit in it) to a rented 1+1 and accepts a job as an editor on a website about pets. To give her inspiration for her new work, her son Adam brings his mother a Labrador puppy that someone has abandoned as a gift.
Róza is not overjoyed by the unexpected gift and thinks she is probably the last person in the world who should have a dog. Not only does he now write texts about ticks and cat toilets instead of interviews with celebrities, but suddenly instead of attending openings and theatre premieres, he zigzags through the excrement in the dog run at night and in the morning, while walking, he talks mainly with pensioners and homeless people. He finds himself in a world of people who are united by the fact that they have a dog. But she's not sure this is the life she wants to lead. Despite the fact that some dog owners are becoming her friends. And yet, she manages to bridge the worlds of celebrities and dog owners.
And he still doesn't know if he wants to keep the puppy. But where else would it end? At the shelter? What if Rosa is someone who is going to change the life of this little "dog" she names Madla Labrador? And how will Madla change her life again?
And Róza doesn't even know that her Labrador girl - the "dog" Madla Labrador - as well as other dogs make sarcastic comments on their owners' lives.
The book is supplemented with illustrations by Lukáš Jandík that match the text.
